Ming Dao takes the lead in Anhui TV's "Happy & Love Forever", which will air on CTV right after "Down With Love".
Ming Dao's "Happy & Love Forever" will soon air on CTV, he will be fighting for ratings with an old friend. Earlier, he and four friends travelled to Europe for close to one month, hitting up London, Paris and Monaco etc., and even went alpine skiing. Eating and accomodations cost them close to 6 million TWD, resulting in him turning down two appearance events in Mainland China exceeding 100 million in ads.
Not an expert at skiing, Ming Dao was dazed after seeing the skiing grounds. Due to him being a beginner, he wasn't used to the long and skinny skis and kept falling down. Many friendly and helpful European children helped him up, but in the end he showed his heart for learning and fell in love with the sport.

After Mingdao starred in a lead role on Anhui TV’s [Happy & Love Forever/ Xing Fu Yi Ding Qiang], the mainland China television network earned its highest ratings ever. This confirmed Mingdao’s #1 drama brother status in mainland China. At the moment, his earnings are $750,000 NTD per episode.
Following the completion of his busy filming schedules in China, Mingdao returned to Taiwan to guest star in [Happiness Is Like Sunny Day/Xing Fu Zui Qing Tian]. However, news spread that there was a strained interaction between Mingdao and lead actor Mike He. Supposedly, the promotions were mostly focused on Mike He. When the filming crew went on an outing, Mike He had a $20,000 NTD suite while Mingdao was only booked for a $5000 NTD room.
[Happiness Is Like Sunny Day/Xing Fu Zui Qing Tian]’s producer Chen Yan Ping revealed: “Mingdao simply wanted to help out. It was only when we checked out of the hotel that we found out the two were living in different levels of rooms. This was a mistake made by staff. But Mingdao didn’t complain – he was quite gracious.”
Chen Yan Ping also revealed that Mingdao’s collaboration in this drama went well. His guest appearance in this drama was not an appearance just for the money. Mingdao even paid out of his pocket in order to dye his hair as he wishes to give the audience a different feeling. At the moment, the crew has already promised Mingdao that the next press conference for [Happiness Is Like Sunny Day/Xing Fu Zui Qing Tian] in Xiamen will focus on him.

31 year old Ming Dao (real name Lin Chao-Zhang) has just been accepted to Chungyu Institute of Technology’s Media and Visual studies program at Keelung. Back in June, Ming Dao was suspected of avoiding his military duties; the vice principal of Tungnan University, where he was studying, suggested that Ming Dao was using the school as a way to avoid his duties. Ming Dao reportedly applied to a different school as he felt uncomfortable of the way Tungnan handled the situation. Yesterday, his manager restated once again, “Ming Dao will not avoid his military duties. He will be enlisted next year.”
Ming Dao has changed to five different schools in his eleven years of study (and counting). Although he is two years away from turning 33, where it would be mandatory to accept enlistment, he has surprisingly just applied to a four-year program at Chungyu. However, his manager expressed that switching schools has nothing to do with avoiding military service. His manager further said that Ming Dao applied to Chungyu because he has an interest in media and visual studies, which is a new program that just started this year. He may go back to continue his studies after fulfilling his military duties.
Nonetheless, Ming Dao is using his remaining time to make money; after completing the filming to the TV series “The King’s Women”, he will be releasing a photo book shot in Italy; he will be heading to the mainland to promote his photo book
